How
to file a Complaint Against Ameritech for DSL order/circuit problems.
Customers often get annoyed
when it takes us a long time to provide a DSL line, often, the reason is
because of ACD’s difficulty in getting and maintaining DSL connections because
of difficulties with Ameritech. We purchase a copper loop to provide DSL
service to you.
There is an agency of the
State of Michigan that exists to protect your rights as a consumer called the
Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). In our working relationship with the
MPSC, we have always found them to be helpful and cooperative.
If you feel you have a
service concern with Ameritech, or with ACD due to Ameritech’s failure to
provide a circuit to us, we recommend that you file a complaint with the MPSC.
Reasons to file a
complaint:
1: Ameritech has not handed
over the physical copper loop that we need to give you DSL service in a timely
basis. Generally this is greater than 5 business days.
2: Ameritech installed the
DSL line, but it didn’t work properly. Generally this is 5 days plus 36 hours.
3: The DSL line that you
have with ACD has gone out of operation because of miswiring, or maintenance by
Ameritech. Generally this is greater than 36 hours.
What should I say in
my complaint:
You should include a
description of the problem, and reason you are filing a complaint. The
following text is for reference, you can add or delete from this.
